The African Continuous Improvement Journal (ACIJ) maintains a double-blind peer review system to ensure impartiality and confidentiality. Decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection are made promptly, and submissions that do not meet the journal’s aims or editorial requirements are filtered out before peer review.Reviewers are expected to disclose any conflicts of interest, respond quickly to invitations, complete reviews within deadlines, preserve confidentiality, and report ethical concerns to the editor. Their reports should be clear, professional, and constructive, supporting authors while aligning with recommendations. Authors must also disclose conflicts and submit revisions within specified deadlines.

Reviewers may be asked to evaluate revised manuscripts and must continue to respect confidentiality after the process concludes.Special issue submissions undergo the same review rigor as regular articles, with guest editors assisting under the supervision of the editorial board, which retains final authority.

Manuscripts authored by guest editors are reviewed independently to prevent bias, and their contributions are restricted to 25% of the total articles in an issue to maintain diversity of authorship.
