The African Continuous Improvement Journal (ACIJ) prioritises accuracy and transparency in its scholarly publications. When errors that do not affect the principal findings are identified but may lead to misunderstanding, the journal will issue a formal correction categorized as an Erratum or Corrigendum.
An Erratum is issued by the journal to correct editorial or production errors, while a Corrigendum is submitted by authors to address mistakes for which they are responsible. Corrections may be considered for issues related to data presentation, author details, missing disclosures, or factual inaccuracies that could affect reader comprehension.
Minor typographical or stylistic errors are generally not corrected unless deemed significant by the editorial board.Correction requests must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief. After evaluation and consultation where necessary, approved corrections will be published in a subsequent issue and electronically linked to the original article. All corrections remain freely accessible and do not alter the original publication, ensuring a transparent academic record.
